Don’t miss the Ski and Snowboard Show this weekend

Don’t miss the Ski and Snowboard Show this weekend

There’s been a buzz at this year’s Ski and Snowboard Show. For the first time it’s taking place at Battersea Park, or Mount Battersea for those in the know…after all, this is the only Alpine Festival in London this year.

Let’s get this party started… at the Norway stand

On the first day, there were people of all ages queuing to get in. Set within the lush surroundings of Battersea Park, and part indoors, part outdoors for the first time, visitors were transported to the mountains in what can only be described as a one-of-a-kind ‘authentic’ immersive experience. It was packed out.

One of the highlights of this year’s show is the breath-taking pro rider competitions and displays on the slopes of Mount Battersea – a 50-foot real snow kicker. Yes, a real snow kicker in central London!

There’s even a stellar line up of live music and comedy, providing entertainment for the whole family!

The show will continue on until Sunday 8th November. There are some amazing holiday deals to be snapped up and plenty of advice from impartial industry experts on where to go if you’re not sure what’s best for your family at the new Travel Genius bar.  Or perhaps you’ve already booked your trip, so come and stock up on gloves, thermals, and other kit, get some expert advice on books/skis and check out the latest ski fashions, or simply come and soak up the alpine atmosphere.  There are plenty of activities for families; plus mountain huts selling a variety of alpine cuisine, plus a glass of gluhwein for mum and dad.  The event really does have the alpine vibe, despite the UK drizzle.

The show is on tonight until 10pm, then Saturday 9:30am-5pm and Sunday – 10am -5pm. Tickets are available on the door… what are you waiting for?
