Ski Olympic wins gold
Ski Olympic won gold at this year’s Guardian Reader Travel Awards in the category ‘Best Ski Company’ – how could it not win with a name like that!
Runners-up were Peak Retreats, which has won for the past three years, with Le Ski third, Erna Low in fourth and Inntravel in fifth place.
This month Erna Low is celebrating eighty years of business offering skiing holidays to the Alps. It all began with Miss Low’s simple newspaper advertisement “Young Viennese graduate invites other young people to join her Christmas skiing.” You can read more about it in our report here.
Although Ski Olympic has not been established as long, this independent tour operator runs high quality ski and snowboarding holidays to some of France’s top resorts – Tignes, Courchevel, Les Arcs, La Plagne, La Rosière and Méribel.
As well as cosy chalets, it offers free ski-hosting; go-pro camera hire; hot-tubs, saunas, pools and in-chalet massage in many of their properties not to mention the Campagne and fluffy slippers in their Gold Collection chalets! Sound tempting?…
