Molitor – a legend returns

A legend returns: The new Swiss sports brand Molitor is launching this winter with two unique skis, proudly bearing the name of the legendary Karl Molitor.

Local legend – Karl Moliter

Wengen-born Karl Molitor (1920-2014) was one of the sport’s most celebrated figures.  He celebrated numerous medals at World Championships, at the 1984 Winter Olympic Games and an unequalled 11 victories at the Lauberhorn Ski Race – the oldest, longest and arguably the toughest downhill on the ski circuit – making him the most successful ski racer in the history of the classic race.  He also conquered the world with his innovative Molitor ski boots.

There has been a Molitor Sport shop in the Swiss resort of Wengen since 1912.  Now, just four years after the death of their local ski legend, and while constantly striving for improvement and new innovations, Molitor’s designers have adopted the spirit of the successful ski racer and businessman in their new sports brand and in their new skis.

The Molitor PERFORM shows its exceptional qualities especially at medium to long turns. Thanks to its precise driving characteristics, the giant slalom ski with a skier’s heart rides stable in every situation and still remains pleasantly agile – until the last turn into après ski. The specially wide edges ensure a particularly long service life.

The Molitor COMMAND masters short to medium turns with impressive ease and precision. Even on hard and icy slopes, quick rhythm changes are without any great effort – making every day of skiing a relaxing day. The COMMAND also features Molitor’s typical wide edges for a particularly long life.

What’s more, Molitor is also offering free lifelong ski service for their skis throughout Switzerland. Now, that’s confidence.

So watch this space. This is just the start for the new Swiss ski brand Molitor. More products will follow.  For further information or to purchase the new skis, contact their shop in Wengen or their website by clicking HERE.
