Your chance to test out the latest skis

Buying a new pair of skis for the forthcoming season? It’s a minefield out there!…

It’s easy for us ski journalists – we get the chance to try out lots of different skis and to get free advice and tuition as well.

But now it’s your turn – just come along to the Ellis Brigham Big Ski Test next week.

Now in its seventh year, the Ellis Brigham Big Ski Test has become something of an autumn pilgrimage for the many eager skiers keen to check out the newest skis.

With over 100 pairs to choose from, it’s a great opportunity to get some tailor-made advice from experts, and the perfect chance to ‘try before you buy’… not to mention getting your ski legs going or the discounted slope time on three of Britain’s top indoor slopes.

The event runs over three days: Saturday 14 November at The SnowDome, Tamworth; Sunday 15 November at Snowfactor, Braehead; and Saturday 21 November at Snozone, Milton Keynes (see below for opening times)

It’s is being hosted by Ellis Brigham Mountain Sports in conjunction with Tirol and New Generation Ski & Snowboard School. As well as discounted slope time rates and coaching opportunities, you’ll also find the very latest skis from Salomon, Atomic, Head, K2 and others, plus brand reps to advise and set up your skis and boards.

Now what?...

Now what?…

Ellis Brigham’s ski hardware buyer Steve Wells said: “The Big Ski events are all about giving skiers free advice and the opportunity to ski as many of this season’s skis as they’d like to.

We’ll have experts on hand to offer advice, plus we have organised free sessions with New Generation Ski School to introduce participants to carving, short turns and how to get more from your skiing.

GB athletes will be there and there’s the chance to watch this winter’s hottest film Degrees North [Tamworth only]. It’s a jam packed event. The only cost is for slope time and we’ve negotiated unbeatable rates for three hours skiing from just £27!”
