Late summer and autumn is a fantastic time to travel to the Alps and Switzerland Tourism have some extremely tempting offers at the moment.

With their ‘Summer Sale’ and Autumn Savers’, you can travel on some of the most famous scenic rail journeys across the Alps whilst enjoying some huge discounts.  But hurry, as availability is limited and seats are going fast.

Book before 31 August to save £150 off the prices of their two most popular trips: the three-day “Taste of the Glacier Express” and the five-day “Best of Switzerland” rail tours.  Availability is on a first-come-first-served basis.

Perhaps most interesting of all are the 2for1 promotions on Swiss Passes and the Jungfrau Centenary Pass – well worth snapping up while they last.

With the 4-day Swiss Pass, the 2for1 deal is valid if you travel anytime in September, October or November.  The 4-day Swiss Saver Pass and the 4-day Swiss Flexi Pass provides unlimited travel across the entire Swiss public transport system.  Prices start from £157 for the first person.  The second person is free!  Children under 16 also travel free with a parent on a Family Card!  You can order your pass online or by phoning the Swiss Travel Centre on UK+(0)207 420 4935.

If you travel outside the main holiday season (September-November), not only are you rewarded with autumnal Alpine colours but you can also save up to £75 per person (minimum two people traveling together) on selected Swiss rail holidays, including ‘A Taste of the Bernina Express”, the “Glacier Express Classic” and “The Famous Three”.  Contact the Swiss Travel Centre by phone to find out more details.

A day excursion up to the Jungfraujoch – the highlight of the Jungfrau region, is included in the CentenaryPass.  Prices start from £725 per person for 7 nights, with the second person free!
