Swiss tennis champion – world number one again

Teresa Fisher
The FamilySkiNews team are just back from a fantastic day on centre court at Wimbledon cheering on Roger Federer as he entered the record books tying with Pete Sampras on seven Wimbledon wins.

Today he also matches Sampras’ as yet unsurpassed tally of 286 weeks at number one in the world – another record he will achieve when the rankings are published in just seven days time.

Here at FamilySkiNews.com, we too are in full ‘Swiss mode’, as Teresa Fisher, our Content Editor, is looking forward to being in the Swiss Alps with a bunch of kids this time next week!

They will be visiting Zermatt to trial the glacier skiing there this summer, to do some mountain hiking and check out Zermatt’s high-wire courses of zip-lines and rope bridges beside the Vispa river.

They will then be travelling on the world-famous Glacier Express train to St Moritz and Pontresina, where they will explore the alpine pastures of the Engadine, and hike on the Morteratsch glacier with an Alpine guide.

It promises to be a fun trip, soo be sure to click back soon to hear their news and to see what else is happening in the Swiss Alps this summer.
