Ski Sunday will be returning to our television screens for the 35th season this Sunday – 13 January at 5pm on BBC2 and BBC HD.

The six-episode series will be fronted by Graham Bell and Ed Leigh.  They will be joined by a new presenter to Ski Sunday, Olympic skeleton champion Amy Williams who has retired from competition since winning her gold medal at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games.

During the next six weeks, Ski Sunday will highlight the action of the men’s and women’s World Cup events, including the great Lauberhorn Downhill in Wengen and the notorious Kitzbuehel Hahnenkamm, won last year for a staggering fifth time by the ‘King of Kitzbuehel’, Swiss skier Didier Cuche.

There will also be extensive coverage of the FIS Alpine World Skiing Championships which takes place in Schladming, Austria, from 4-17 February.

It will also feature some of Britain’s 2014 Winter Olympic hopefuls and, no doubt, Ed Leigh and Graham Bell will be up to their usual ice and snow antics, including some freestyle tricks; trips to Alaska and Russia; and bob-sledding with Amy in St Moritz!

The first show – this Sunday from 5.00-5.45pm on BBC 2 and BBC HD – takes place in St Anton in Austria, and features the Women’s Downhill.  There is further coverage with Ski Sunday Extra from 5.45-6.15pm on the BBC red button or the BBC website.
