Design a helmet and win $1000

Teresa Fisher

HardnutZ – a leading British brand of snow, skate and cycle helmets – is staging a competition for all designers, photographers and anyone else that wants to have a go at designing a ski helmet/skate helmet. Get all your kids involved and see who can come up with the best design.

The company specialises in funky, vibrant helmets in highly original designs and are looking for a new, bold and innovative design for them – so this is YOUR chance to come up with a striking design that will stand out on the snow slopes, a BMX dirt track or an inner city skate park.   And remember – you’re designing what goes on the helmet, not the actual helmet itself!

The winner will see their helmet design through into production, and then sold globally. They will also receive $1,000 and the first copy of their helmet as it comes of the production line. Two runners-up will receive an exclusive HardnutZ helmet featuring their design and $250.

Don’t forget to get all your friends to vote for your design, as there will be a further prize for the most popular design – an exclusive HardnutZ helmet featuring that design and $250.

Judges include Hardnutz, Hannah Wilson of Halfords and Alain Baxter, former British Olympic ski medalist. Entries must be submitted by 1 May 2012 and the winners will be announced on 23 May 2012.

See the HardnutZ website for rules and how to enter. Good luck and happy designing!
